Several researchers and academics accuse PragerU of misrepresenting findings in videos about climate change and history, including portraying slavery and racism in a misleading light. For instance, a video featuring an animated Christopher Columbus has drawn criticism for appearing to downplay the harms of slavery, suggesting being enslaved was better than being killed. PragerU’s videos on topics like the gender pay gap and policing of African-Americans have also been criticized for containing misleading claims.
Despite the name, PragerU is not an accredited academic institution and does not confer degrees.
