These came up in a search but I couldn’t verify them. Are they true?

Fines:


The University of Miami was fined $1 million by the NCAA in 2022 for a number of violations, including impermissible benefits to athletes, academic misconduct, and lack of institutional control.


The University of Southern California was fined $500,000 by the NCAA in 2022 for failing to report an allegation of sexual abuse against a former assistant football coach.

Violations:


The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is currently under investigation by the NCAA for a number of violations, including academic fraud and improper benefits to athletes.


The University of Louisville is currently under investigation by the NCAA for a number of violations, including impermissible payments to recruits and coaches.

Abuse allegations:


There have been a number of recent allegations of sexual abuse against college coaches and athletic trainers. In 2022, the University of Michigan announced that it was investigating allegations of sexual abuse against former football coach Bo Schembechler.


There have also been allegations of physical abuse against college athletes. In 2022, the University of California, Berkeley announced that it was investigating allegations of physical abuse against former women’s gymnastics coach Donohue.
